Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This SE-one channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.

So, does it matter if you align the ball or the "training aid"? Because in the video you align the ball to the pin not the aid to the pin. Cheers

Hi Rick I'd be interested if you could do a video on the much hated "Flying right elbow'. Much like the comment below I've picked up the game again after a 20 year break. I naturally hit a long high fade, and I'm hitting my irons absolutely stiff, but for whatever reason as soon as I grab a driver or 3 wood I get massive out to in swing path. Fairly sure it's my right elbow getting out of control, but would be interested to see if you have any drills for it.

Great vid as usual! Alignment is my Achilles heel so I incorporated that intermediate or close to my position target making sure its in line with the intended target by looking behind the ball. I use it for putting as well. It could be leaf or divit.

These tips are life changing. I just seriously got into golf this year and probably shot an honest 120+. After a couple months of watching vids and practicing it at the range I'm probably at an honest 105 and hitting much cleaner shots. I'm hoping to break 100 this year.

Hi Rick, love your simple to understand vids. Only started to play golf about 3 1/2 years ago, and gave it away after six months to fight cancer. After two and a bit years of that ( not recommended if you can help it ), i have started playing again. Only able to get onto a range so far, i couldnt get around 9 holes yet ( but it will come ), and your driver and iron vids are an immense help. I can actually string a few good shots together with your help. Liked and subbed, tks, Mike.

Rick, I want to say thanks man from across the pond. I grew up playing golf with my Dad and loved it. Sometime in High School I developed a slice with my woods. It destroyed my confidence and my game. I tried taking lessons, friends would offer me tips, but it always hung around. As I got older (now in my 30's), I played once a year in a charity golf tournament. Last year I started watching your channel and fell back in love with the game. Only one problem, my clubs I've had since HS. So I took your advice, went out and bought the Callaway Edge set the other day. They just came in last night! I grabbed a bag and unpacked them last night. Before going to the range today and watched your slice videos... IT WORKED! I don't slice with my driver anymore! Tomorrow I'll be playing with my Dad for the first time since the pandemic started. We live State's away now, but they're visiting. I can't wait and truly want to thank you! And your team for making amazing content! P.S. Your SE-one/social media team should vs Peter Finch's SE-one/social media team. Love the content and thank you again from NH, US

Thanks, Rick. Your vids are similar to a Hemingway short story; that is, a brief sentence that relates to each individual, per se. You may not state, "Put 57% of your weight on your front leg which will infinitely increase to 72% as you approach the limits of your swing. And from this you will...blah, blah, blah." (Fill in the next five minutes/500 words.) You may just say, "Lean forward with a bit more weight on your front leg." To the amateur, this is what matters! Just understanding that this is the 'feeling' you are looking for! Not the derivatives of angular motion! Good show, Dude!

Rick, I gotta say that ever since I started watching your instructionals my game has dramatically changed. I went from getting more and more frustrated with the game to having a blast, even with the now making little mistakes. You've helped me to identify so many inconsistencies with my game, especially my irons. I had no idea all the self-taught bad habits I've formed, even with driving. I've gone from a 100-105 player at best to the last two games I've played at an 87 then an 84. Rick, these are great! However, I've heard two main lines of thought around the idea "driver swing is slightly different than swinging irons." A lot of SE-one coaches say exactly what you say in this video. However, Ben Hogan teaches that the swing is the same between irons and drivers, the main thing that changes is the set up of the right foot (for right handed golfers). Hogan basically teaches to always have the ball a little inside of the left foot while widening your stance with the right root as you move from most lofted clubs to drivers. Thoughts?

Ball on left side for every club is just a preference. Don’t really need it for your short irons but you can if you want.

I was a single digit handicap in my 20s, but family and other responsibilities took over and I pretty much stopped playing. I have picked up the game again recently (in my 40s), and your videos have helped me remember things that I had forgotten as well as new things I probably never knew. In just a couple months, I have gone from shooting mid-90s to breaking 80 again, and I know that these videos have been a big part of that improvement. Thank you Rick, your passion for golf (and life) is infectious and really comes through in these videos!

For someone who has literally played golf probably 9 or 10 times in my life, I like these tips. I didn't even know that driver hit was different than iron.

Amazing!!..... I also started trading with Mrs. Rose, she's the best at what she does. With an initial investment of $1400 Canadian I made up to $5230 profit in just a week of trading with her, her strategies are mind-blowing.

I have traded with a lot of individuals but I have never come across anyone as good as Mrs. Marley Rose, just by applying her new strategies I now trade independently. She is the best I'd advise any novice investing to trade with.

I still need so much practice I strike the ball but I swear I hit almost every club aside from my wedges and short irons the same distance.. a sad,sad 150 yards lol and yea that's including my driver lol. I have such a long way too go. But my long irons, woods and driver will be the death of me I swear it lol

So my problem is the opposite. I launch everything. Even a small breeze has a huge impact on my shot. No wind though, the distance is still there. 8 iron 165ish 5 iron 200ish as examples. I wish my shot was more piercing and don’t know how to accomplish it
